An early 20th century Halloween parade Jack-O-Lantern. Metal pumpkin has original orange paint with black face painted features. Sphere slides open to house candle. Base has holder for rod to be inserted and off we go to the parade! A great piece of American folk art.
We originally sold this pumpkin back in 2002 at our Middletown, NY auction house. The pumpkin was an attic from Slate Hill, NY homestead. Excited to see it again after almost twenty years in one collection.
